May ’18 OwlCrate Unboxing

Hey Lovelies!

It is time to dive right into another OwlCrate box. This time I am unboxing the May box, themed “Fight Like a Girl”.

  • First up is this cute, exclusive ‘When In Doubt, Go To The Library’ enamel pin from Out of Print. It is inspired by Hermione from Harry Potter series.

  • This double-sided tassel bookmark was inspired by The Wrath and the Dawn and Flame in the Mist and it was designed by Indigo Eleven. It is not only beautiful but also motivational. Unfortunately the tassel of it fell apart shortly after I took out the bookmark from the box, so the quality of it is obviously lacking.

  • My favourite item out of this particular box is the exclusive hanging poster created by Evie Bookish. Even thou I am not a fan of Feyre from A Court of Thorns and Roses series written by Sarah J. Mass, that poster is gorgeous. And I love wolves, so that’s always a plus.

  • The exclusive bath bomb created by Whipped Up Wonderful. It was inspired by Zélie from The Children of Blood and Bone.

  • The art print inspired by Inej from Six of Crows was designed by artist Mélanie Bourgeois.

This particular box contained two books!

  • First one is ‘Catching Stars’ by Cayla Keenan, with exclusive cover from Oftomes Publishing. It follows Jayin, a powerful witch who’s just trying to survive in the grim city she calls home. When her path crosses with Maddix, a young man who was wrongly thrown in prison and has just escaped, they become the most unlikely of allies.

  • Second novel is ‘Sky in the Deep’ by Adrienne Young, it is an exclusive signed edition of the book and the box also included the letter from the author as well as an exclusive pin! Eelyn’s life revolves around two things: fighting and surviving. Growing up as a member of the Aska class of warriors, the loyalty of her family and comrades is everything to her. So when she ends up face to face with her brother on the battlefield – her brother who she thought died 5 yrs ago – the betrayal runs deep. She ends up being forced to live among the Riki clan, and the things she discovers there will change the course of her life forever.

That’s it for this box! It was definitely not my favourite, didn’t appeal to me too much and I’m really upset about the bookmark.

Until next time, Dream On, Dreamers!
