Hello and welcome to the August ’19 OwlCrate Unboxing!

The theme for that month was “Storms and Seas” and let’s dive right into it.

The first item is a The Little Mermaid inspired bath salts by The Soap Librarian.

The second item is a wooden tassel bookmark created by Juniper and Ivy Designs. It was inspired by The Daughter of the Pirate King.

This Tea Light Candle Lantern will be a perfect item for the upcoming Autumn season. It is a Team OwlCrate exclusive.

The tin pencil case was inspired by The Scorpio Races and it was designed by Stella Bookish Art.

The last item is Sea Witch inspired Loose Leaf Tea from Riddle’s Tea Shoppe.

The book included in the box for August is “House of Salt and Sorrows” by Erin A. Craig it includes a letter from the author as well as an exclusive bookmark!

This novel tells a story of Annaleigh who has lived with her twelve sisters in the manor by the sea. After four of the sisters die, all the rest feel as if they have been cursed and their home becomes hunted. And so the question remains : who is controlling the magic? Apparently it is a retelling that combines a ghost story, murder mystery and fairy tale all into one.

And last but not least, the enamel pin inspired by this month’s book, has been created by Laserbrain Patch Co.

Not too mad about this particular box, I feel like I keep saying that a lot recently… The items feel insignificant, nothing special really and I’m not fun of retellings. I will give this one a try simply because I don’t know the original story, hopefully it will turn out alright.

Are you subscribing to any bookish boxes? Let me know down in the comment section!

Thank you for reading this unboxing, until next time, Dream On, Dreamers!
