Review: “Saga, 5” by Brian K. Vaughan, Fiona Staples

Marko continues a quest to save his wife Alana and daughter Hazel, held captive by Dengo. In the meantime, Lying Cat, Sophie and the rest of their gang tries to gather the necessary ingredients to help The Will recover from an illness.

This series never fails to surprise me. It continuously produces unique and interesting characters, as well as a storyline that will keep wanting more. Trying to provide Hazel with a normal childhood proves to be a significant challenge for the her parents, they face many challenges and enemies in order to do that.

The plot moves forward and in this particular volume we get to see the character’s development as well as growth. And speaking of growth, out little Hazel is growing up!

This family has been through so much and we have been with them every step of the way, I cannot wait to see what obstacles they will have to fight through next! It is an amazing series that has a greater, deeper message to convey that it might seem so at the beginning.
