Hi there and welcome to my July Book Haul!

I have bought three comic books and two novels this month.

I have gotten Volume 2 and Volume 3 of Saga by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples, which tells the story of star-crossed lovers, two soldiers from opposite sides of the intergalactic war. When they have their baby, Hazel, the young parents are trying to find a place for themselves in this world. I loved Volume 1, there is a great character variety and I found it to be hilarious, cannot wait to dive right back into to the storyline of Marko and Alana!

I have also bought Volume 2 of Skyward by Joe Henderson. I have read Volume 1 a while back and loved it, however I don’t think I have ever reviewed it on the blog, I am not quite sure why. Regardless, I’ll catch up with this collection that continues telling the story of Willa, who lives on Earth with only a fraction of its normal gravity, whose Dad is planning to bring it back to normal. Storyline is definitely a very unique one but what struck me the most about Skyward is the artwork, it is phenomenal, breath-taking really!!

The first novel is Nevernight by Jay Kristoff. This book has been popping up everywhere on Bookstagram and I decided to give it a try. I have read the Illuminae, which Kristoff has co-author and it is a one of a kind book in terms of how it was written so I’m giving the author the benefit of a doubt. People seem to love Nevernight series as well so! Mia becomes an apprentice in the school of assassins, seeking revenge against the powers that destroyed her family. However, there is a killer on the loose within school’s walls. Sounds intriguing.

Last but not least, I have bought The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, which I’ve been wanting to read for a while now. It tells a story through Charlie’s letters about what’s it like to grow up in high school, coming of age story. I am going to read this one in August and I won’t tell you why for know, because there will be a special post coming up to cover that, stay tuned 😀

That’s everything I bought in July, a little bit more that usual. I am especially happy to be going back to graphic novels soon, it’s been too long.

What books did you obtain during this month?

Thank you for reading this Book Haul and until next time, Dream On, Dreamers!
